The entire facility is designed as a functional whole, combining state-of-the-art workshops with spaces for networking, relaxation, and an active lifestyle.

7 creative workshops with 600 m² of space
The KC FabLab space is divided into three functional types of spaces that form one whole. The first consists of creative production spaces with an area of approximately 600 m², which include 7 creative workshops.
A workshop with technologies for welding (TIG, MMA, CO2) and metal processing, sheet metal bending and cutting, surface sandblasting, pipe bending, milling, and plasma cutting. A metalworking workshop for bold projects. View equipment in the workshop.
A workshop with SLM 3D printing technology for metals and large-format resin 3D printing for prototyping and printing functional models. Cutting-edge 3D technology for real-world applications. View equipment in the workshop.
A workshop with a variety of graphic, 3D, and scanning technologies that have wide applications in creative industries. UV printing on materials, large-format printing, cutting plotter, a farm of 5 filament 3D printers, 3D scanning technologies for surfaces, structures, and dimensions with high resolution (stationary, on a turntable, on a robotic arm, portable), and a contact measuring machine with high precision. A workshop with technologies for working with plastics (plexiglass, polystyrene, styrofoam, films), large-format bending of flat plastic parts, plastic and film welders, large-format cutting with resistance wire, and milling. A ceramics workshop for handwork with ceramic clay, a pottery wheel, technology for casting liquid ceramics into molds, and a kiln for firing ceramics and glazes. A space for ceramic and creative workshops where human hands create. Additional technology - a vacuum press for thermal pressing under pressure (e.g., laminating and veneering flat materials, pressing low-temperature plastics). View equipment in the workshop.
A multifunctional conference and meeting room with a capacity of up to 20 people, featuring a large touchscreen monitor and 3D virtual reality technology. It also serves as a game room for First Lego League and Lego robotics. It forms a functional unit with the merch workshop.
A workshop with creative technologies for merch, graphic, and advertising production, laser engraving and cutting (Xtool platform), a cutting plotter for fabrics and leather, a 10-color embroidery machine, a sewing machine, a sublimation printer with a heat press, and technology for small-batch graphic screen printing. A place where your graphic ideas and concepts enter reality.
A workshop with technology for small-batch production of furniture, interior and exterior accessories from sheet materials (plywood, laminated chipboard, composite wood-plastic sheet materials). A large-scale machining workshop for processing metal materials. Laser cutting technology for metals, CNC router, CNC mill, CNC lathe, horizontal surface grinder, band saw for material cutting, CO2 laser, and color engraving. An outdoor meeting room with a capacity of up to 8 people, featuring glass walls and a view of the garden and sports zone. For focused work, meeting with people, and relaxation. An unconventional atmosphere to support creativity and the pleasant feeling of working outside in nature.
A sports and relaxation zone surrounding the creative center. A workout area for bodyweight exercises outdoors, a children's playground with a safe impact surface, a table tennis area, and a multifunctional sports field with a soft surface for ball games (basketball, volleyball, etc.).
Sports equipment can be borrowed if needed. Gazebos with seating allow for informal meetings or outdoor work in nice weather. Relaxation and outdoor sports activities support creativity.
The reception as the "central" point of our FabLab, the place of first contact complemented by a relaxation zone with armchairs and tables where we can meet, discuss, and inspire. At the reception, there is a high-capacity A3 color printer, a trimmer, a laminator, a label printer, and office supplies.
Good coffee from an automatic espresso machine and a small kitchenette with equipment for heating food are available. There is also an exhibition zone for presenting FabLab products/technologies and space for individual elements of the university exhibition stand, which complete the functional design of the reception area.

Supporting creativity, networking, and outdoor zone
The second type consists of spaces to support creative work such as reception and offices for administration and management, a lecture room, a relaxation zone with a small library and a self-service café. These spaces also display interior design products created at KC FabLab, such as the university exhibition stand and examples of creative work.
These interior spaces are complemented by outdoor spaces for sports and relaxation or outdoor creative activities in the outdoor area around KC FabLab. Available are an outdoor glass meeting room, gazebos with benches, a sports zone with a workout and parkour area, a children’s playground, a multifunctional field for ball games, and table tennis tables.
Within the university campus in Záblatí, there is also an e-mobility station with shared electric scooters and electric bicycles, which enable connection with the university campus in the center of Trenčín. Also available are a university canteen, a student dormitory, parking, and an area with plenty of greenery and natural spaces for biodiversity.
