Virtual tours, powered by ReelSee technology, represent an innovative tool for the digital presentation of tourist destinations. They combine high-resolution 360° recording via photogrammetry technology, spatial orientation, and smooth camera movement. This technology enables a detailed and realistic representation of space, significantly increasing user engagement and their ability to perceive the location within a broader spatial context. It is also innovative in its use of lidar technology, which maps space into a so-called point cloud that can be utilized in architectural and design software.
Virtual tours are designed to authentically present the natural, cultural, and historical values of an area while providing intuitive controls and high user accessibility across digital platforms. Their use in tourism contributes to increasing the attractiveness of destinations, supporting sustainable tourism, and effectively promoting lesser-known locations.
The output is a fully controllable virtual tour in the form of a responsive website that adapts its display to the device on which it is launched. It can be easily implemented into any existing website.
The implementation of ReelSee technology in the project’s presentation outputs allows for the creation of modern, visually compelling, and information-rich content that supports the decision-making of potential visitors, increases their motivation for an in-person visit, and strengthens the digital identity of the presented tourist
destinations. It also makes spaces accessible for people with disabilities and those with limited mobility.
